We know that the proven concept is true; anyone’s life and state of mind can be improved through inspired, culturally enriching experiences, especially when shared with another person. There is a significant amount of established, scientific research proving that the brain continues to adapt and expand when a person engages in experiences that inspire and delight their soul. Both happiness and joy are associated with the release of dopamine and serotonin, which are neurotransmitters in the brain. Cultural Companion experiences offer the neurotransmitters opportunities to spark, multiply and expand. This is referred to as Neuroplasticity.
When people break out of their routine life, loneliness or isolation to attend a music performance, an engaging play or an inspiring musical, or walk through a museum or gallery, taking in the energy and significance of fine art, stroll through a park, exquisitely tended gardens, or any natural environment during any season, participate in the solemnity of a worship service, or simply remain in the comfort of their own home and share meaningful time with a companion, the synapses in our brains ignite and the positive responses are measurable and sustainable.
When people break out of their routine life, loneliness or isolation to spend meaningful time with a Cultural Companion engaging in activities they enjoy, the synapses in our brains ignite and the positive responses are measurable and sustainable.
